Foundation of Sant Dalmai in a small butcher shop
The history of Sant Dalmai begins with the artisanal production of cooked meat products in a small village workshop, marking the start of a tradition based on quality and continuous improvement.
1969
Factory construction
With a long-term vision, production was moved to its current location on the outskirts of the village of Sant Dalmai, providing ample space for growth.
1973
1st enlargement of the factory
With the growth in demand, the first expansion of the facilities was carried out, allowing for increased production capacity and improved processes.
1975
Establishment of the first distribution company of the group in Barcelona
The first proprietary distribution company was established in the province of Barcelona, aiming to guarantee better service and greater proximity to the customer. Throughout the 80s and 90s, more distributors were opened, reaching the current 19 that cover a large part of the national territory.
1993
Start of cured meat and cheese commercialization.
The group is broadening its portfolio with new cured product and cheese lines, strengthening its position within the food industry.
2000
2nd enlargement of the factory
Once again, the facilities are expanded to reinforce production capacity and continue the company's growth.
2013
Beginning of international export
The company takes the leap into international markets, beginning its expansion beyond national borders and bringing its products to new consumers. Currently, Sant Dalmai's products can be found in more than 40 countries across all 5 continents.
2017
3rd enlargement of the factory
The plant is expanded for the third time to continue increasing production capacity. The cooking room is completely renovated, changing rooms are updated and relocated, and a new canteen for employees is built. A new space is also inaugurated to host clients and conduct training sessions.
2018
Merger of all business units under Sant Dalmai S.A.U.
All production activities and brands are integrated under a single entity, Sant Dalmai Food Company, in order to strengthen corporate identity and optimize management. The new logo is unveiled, unifying the three production lines: cooked meats, cheeses, and cured products.
2021
Brand redesign
The visual identity of our most iconic brand is updated, reflecting its evolution, commitment to innovation, and forward-looking vision. A more modern image that nonetheless preserves the essence of Sant Dalmai.
2022
Fourth enlargement
A new expansion of the production facilities is carried out, reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement. The massaging room is renovated and expanded with state-of-the-art machinery, and an investment is made in a new cooking oven for the 4th and 5th range product lines.
2024
60th anniversary
Sant Dalmai celebrates six decades of history, tradition, and excellence, thanking the trust of customers, partners, and employees who have made this journey possible.
